 Student Pay Schedule Guidelines

Effective July 1, 2008, the A1 – A4 student pay rates will increase to $7.40/hr. to comply with the new state minimum pay rate of $7.40/hr. Supervisors do not need to complete an online transaction form; adjustments will be made automatically.  All other student employee pay rates will remain the same.

Student employees with U.S. citizenship may work up to 30 hours per week in the fall/spring semesters.  Based on federal law and VISA restrictions, international students may work up to 20 hours per week during fall/spring semesters.  Please refer to Article 1.1.3 of the 2006-2009 AFSCME / WMU Agreement in regards to student employees working in AFSCME staffed operations.
